Talking to MicroTCA systems involves a bewildering array of layered software standards. We're still sorting it all out. ---++ Simple Things Which Work Now *Talk to MCH Console* (Windows) Connect to bul3x1 with remote desktop (log in as daq). Launch *putty.exe* from desktop. Click on 'USB for MCH COM4' and 'Open'. If this gives an error, try again with 'USB for MCH COM3'. Then hit "Enter" and you should get the "nat>" prompt, and you can type commands. To read/write registers on the CLK board: <pre> nat> diag [0] : no action ..... DIAG (REG=0/0x0): 9 </pre> This will take you to the clock menu. Options 2 and 3 read and write registers. For the "Choose clock device" question answer 0.
