Summer 2010 SiPM Testing

This page contains documentation on testing of various SiPM devices during Summer 2010 at BU. We received a shipment of 3 devices in Feb 2010 but are just starting now (June) to evaluate them.

There are 3 devices in PGA (pin-grid array) 0.1" spacing packages.

• Keithley 6512 HV supply/electrometer

Task List

Below is a list of jobs to be done to get started testing

• Read about SiPMS WikiPedia
• Lookup the references from the last page of the RMD document and read as many as possible.
• Purchase sockets to hold the three devices (DigiKey or Newark)
• Design a simple ExpressPCB circuit board to hold the package, and provide required connections
• Set up a dark box with the required connectors
• Set up the Keithley HV supply (when it arrives around the end of June) for I-V curves
• Install drivers for LeCroy LT584 oscilloscope (Ethernet) and HP 8112A signal generator
