A workshop was held at Brown on July 15-16 2009. Participants were Marvin Johnson and Ron Lipton (Fermilab); Meenakshi Narain and Ulrich Heintz (Brown); Eric Hazen and Shouxiang Wu (Boston University)

The goal of the workshop was to study Marvin's preliminary design and refine it in preparation for writing a proposal to CMS. Substantial progress was made towards this goal.

It was agreed that Meena would make a preliminary presentation at the Trigger upgrade workshop on July 25 at CERN (Indico). A detailed design study will be performed over the next 6 weeks, with the goal of having a detailed presentation ready for the tracker upgrade meeting Sept 30-Oct 2 at CERN (Indico).
